Obituary of Jeannette Woodson

ROCK FALLS - Jeannette "Corky" F. Woodson 82, of Rock Falls, died, on September 14, 2019 at CGH Medical Center, Sterling. 

Jeannette was born April 01, 1937 the daughter of Howland Ellis and Myrna Glass.

Survivors include five children, Martha Lea (Bill) Blackwell of NC, Glenna Tolley of Pasadena, TX, Eric (Phyllis) Tolley of Westchester, IL, Douglas (Pauline) Woodson of Oak Park, IL, Jennifer (Stephanie Kroeplin) Woodson of Oregon City, OR, and; two sisters, Mary (Stanley) Stover of Milledgeville and Nancy Stern of Sterling; five grandchildren, Kent Vock, Angi Jones, Juan Tolley, Jamie Tolley, and Tewa Woodson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Howland Ellis and Myrna Planthaber; two brothers, Vernon and Robert Ellis; and two sisters, June Meenan and Joy Mills.

A Visitation will take place from 11AM - 1PM on Friday, September 20, 2019 at Schilling Funeral Home and Cremation, Sterling. Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services. 

     In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to the YWCA of Sauk Valley. Memorials may be brought to visitation on Friday from 11AM-1PM. Or they may be sent to Schilling Funeral Home,  and will be forwarded to the family.
