Obituary of John M. Kurtis

STERLING- John M. Kurtis, 57, of Sterling, died January 4, 2020. John was born November 17, 1962 in Elmhurst the son of John K. and Arlene (Donaldson) Kurtis. He married Patricia Carson and enjoyed 31 years of marriage. John adored his family and especially his grandchildren. He was an accomplished guitar player, and enjoyed spending time with his best friend and companion "Tito" his dog. Survivors include one daughter Rebecca Kurtis of Wheaton; one son John (Lindsey) Kurtis Jr. of Plainfield; three grandchildren Elliana Grace Bingaman, Jacob Thomas Bingaman, and Aria Nicole Kurtis. He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife Patricia. Visitation will be Saturday January 18, 2020 from 2PM-4PM at Ahlgrim Funeral Home in Elmhurst, and memorial service starting at 4PM.
