Obituary of Orville Karr

Orville Karr, 75, died, Friday, September 21, 2012 at Coventry Living Center. He was employed as a pipe fitter at the RB&W for over thirty years prior to retirement. Orville was born May 14, 1937 in Sterling the son of Chester and Hazel (Pritchard) Karr. He married Darlene Becker on June 14, 1958 in Cresco, IA. He was a member of New Life in Christ Church, Sterling. Survivors include his wife, Darlene; two daughters, Darla Karr of Sterling and Yvonne (Mike) Hayward of Aurora; one son, Jeffrey Karr of Naperville; two sisters, Vivian Sparks of Anniston, AL and Sharon (Kenneth) Mager of Rock Falls one brother Douglas (Eunice) Karr of Rock Falls; six grandchildren and one great grandson. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at the Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling with the Reverend William Cherry, pastor of New Life in Christ Church, Sterling, officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery Sterling. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Monday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to New Life in Christ Church.
