Obituary of Gary Edward Lohse

Gary Edward Lohse, 69, of Byron, IL passed away March 12, 2021 at home. Gary was born January 31, 1952 to the late Roy and Helen(Anderson) Lohse. He was raised in Franklin Grove, IL and graduated from Franklin Center High School. On August 1, 1970, he married Judy Agre. They later divorced but remained friends. Gary worked in various factories over the years before retiring. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, and showing dogs in his younger years, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends. He was also an avid Jeff Gordon fan. Survivors include his children, Nicole (Cristopher) Boyd of Franklin Grove, Christopher (Angela) Lohse of Rochelle, his brothers James and Ralph, sister Laura (Dale) Pitzer, grandchildren Daniel Lohse, Cristina Boyd, Faith Lohse, and great granddaughter Piper Lohse. There are also several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Dennis Lohse, and nephew Michael Pitzer. Cremation services have been performed and a celebration of life will be held for family at a later date.
