STERLING- Richard L. Dahlquist, 84, of Sterling died November 27, 2021 at CGH Medical Center. Richard was born August 23, 1937 in Sterling, the son of Melvin and Bernice (Taylor) Dahlquist. He married Elda Ohms on May 17, 1959 in Morrison.
Richard served in the United States Airforce from 1954-1958 and was stationed in Germany. He worked at Sterling Steel Ball for over 40 years. In retirement he enjoyed restoring his purple 1949 Mercury, going to car shows, and wintering in Florida.
Survivors include his wife Elda Dahlquist; one son Dean (Julanne) Dahlquist of Kokomo IN; one grandson Josh (Ashley) Dahlquist of Sterling; one granddaughter Amanda (Chris) Glinski of Milwaukee; and one great-grandson Jackson Dahlquist.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Duane and Derek Dahlquist.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial service will be at 11AM, Wednesday December 1, 2021 at Our Savior Lutheran Church with pastor Phil Heuser officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior at Our Savior Lutheran Church from 10AM-11AM.
A memorial has been established to Our Savior Lutheran Church and Happy Tails.
