Margrit Schneiderbauer (age 86)
Born: February 9, 1935 in Hannover, Germany to Erna (Warmbold) and Karl Meyer.
Died: January 20, 2022, Sterling, IL
Married Josef Schneiderbauer on August 10, 1957 in Niedertaufkirchen, Germany. He passed away on July 20, 1982. She later met her friend and companion of 30 years, Ralph Schmidt. He passed away April, 2013.
Margrit grew up in Sehnde, Germany. After marrying Josef, they immigrated to Canada where they lived for three years before immigrating to America. They eventually settled in Sterling, IL where they built a home and life together. She loved to attend German dances with her husband, friends, and later with her companion. She was a stay at home mom, babysat, worked at A & W Root Beer for several years as well as a cook for private individuals.

Sister-in-laws Marianne (Helmut) (Schneiderbauer) Kubicek – Ottawa, Canada
Lisl (Schneiderbauer) Weiss – Niedertaufkirchen, Germany
Grandchildren: Dr. Joe (Shanna) Schneiderbauer
Michael (Bailey) Schneiderbauer
Lauren (TJ Kerber) Schneiderbauer
Sarah (James) Spencer
Sage, Sean, Keely Schneiderbauer
Evan Eades, Winter Do
Great-grandchildren: Emery, Kamden, Joelle, Jaxon and Grace
Several nieces and nephews in Canada and Germany.
She is preceded in death by her husband, companion, and parents.
Special thanks to Rock River Hospice, CNA Miss Linda, and Denise Schneiderbauer for their extraordinary care and support.

Margrit will be remembered for her strength, perseverance and work ethic and always having soup ready for the kids and grandkids and her wonderful cheesecake for a gathering. Margrit and Josef are now dancing together in Heaven.
Visitation will be from 10AM-11AM Saturday January 29, 2022 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Sterling. Funeral services will be at 11AM following visitation, and burial will take place immediately after the funeral service at Our Savior Lutheran Church Cemetery located at 21496 Hopkins Road, Sterling IL.
