Obituary of Barbara Andreas

  Barbara J. Andreas, 83, of Sterling passed away Tuesday October 11, 2022 at OSF Saint Anthonys in Rockford IL.  Barbara was born September 27, 1939 the daughter of Carl and Rhoda (McPherson) Blankenship.  She married Harold Andreas on November 2, 1959. He preceded her in death on May 3, 2015. 

   Survivors include one son Bill (Stacey) Andreas of Cary; one daughter Virginia Andreas of Sterling; one brother Paul (Avis) Blankenship of Kankakee; one sister Carrie Anderson of Sterling; six grandchildren Carrie Rodriguez, Lindsey Gear, Heather Serenil, Brandon Gear, Keegan Andreas, Kinsley Andreas; and several great-grandchildren. 

   Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Donna Gear; and two sisters Phyllis and Rosemarie.

   Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday October 15, 2022 at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation. Visitation will be one hour prior from 10AM-11AM. Burial will take place at Coloma Township Cemetery in Rock Falls IL.

   A memorial has been established.
