Obituary of Fredrick Sosnowski

Fredrick R. Sosnowski Rock Falls - Fredrick R. Sosnowski, 72, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. He was employed by CTA in the maintenance department. Fredrick was born September 7, 1940 in Chicago, the son of Alex and Mary (Owca) Sosnowski. He married Mary Fernandez on February 14, 2001 in Las Vegas. He served in the Marine Corps. Fredrick attended St. Andrew Catholic Church in Rock Falls. Survivors include his wife, Mary; one daughter, Rhonda Sosnowski of Chicago; three sons, Frederick R. Sosnowski of La Crosse, WI, Steven Sosnowski of Los Angeles, CA, and Matthew Sosnowski of Westmont; one sister, Joyce Cornett of Rock Falls; one brother, Alex (Barbara) Sosnowski of Chicago; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service followed by military rites will be held at 12 PM, Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Schilling Funeral Home with Monsignor Thomas Dzielak of St. Andrew Catholic Church, officiating. Visitation will be from 10 AM-12 PM, Saturday, prior to services at the Funeral Home. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial has been established.
