Whenever we saw Kent he had the most incredible smile. The past few years he showed the most incredible positive attitude for everything in spite of health concerns. Bethany and I are best friends. I have always loved hearing her stories of her dad and family. Unfortunately, I did not get to meet Kent until after he was sick so I only got to see him in person a handful of times. I could still see his sense of humor shine through, despite his pain and exhaustion. I see his humor within Bethany. I am so thankful that Kent’s family all got together at the family home and let me take photos of them about a month ago. He was such a good sport throughout the process (I tried to be quick!), even though he did not feel well at all that day. He even wore the Baby Yoda ears that I brought to entertain the kids for a few photos. I can only hope we all can be that playful in the last stages of any kind of a serious illness, if it comes to that. I would like to send the family all of my love and support for as long as they need it. Especially Bethany.
