Obituary of Juan Diego Miniel

   Juan Diego Miniel, 64, of Sterling, died Monday, August 14, 2023 at his home. Juan was born August 9, 1959 to Jesus Miniel and Henrietta (Martinez) Sotelo.

   Survivors include his mother, Henrietta Sotelo; one daughter, Natasha (Denton) Galarza; four grandchildren, Aliah Ramirez, Marisa Ramirez, Reeva Nichole Galarza and Rockford Juan Galarza; one great-granddaughter, Eva Ramirez; one brother, Lou (Heather) Sotelo, Jr; two sisters, Guadalupe (Zeke) Miniel Galarza and Maria Lara; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

   He was preceded in death by his father, Jesus Miniel; step-father, Lucio Sotelo and his grandparents, Jose & Guadalupe Martinez.

   Juan was a strong and kind hearted person. He gained his wings and will now be at peace.

    Funeral service will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church, Sterling on Monday August 21, 2023 at 11am and a lunch to follow at St Mary's parish center. Cremation rites have been accorded.

   A memorial has been established.
