Kathy, We met so long ago in our apartment building in Forest Park. Little did we know that we would have 53+ years of living near each other. With our husbands bring transferred to Plantation FL, we were able to enjoy raising our children together for a while. When we moved to Sterling, we renewed our special relationship. One of our favorite memories was eating at Candlelight Inn! Chicken George is still a favorite even with our grandkids. You were one of my favorite persons to shop with. How many trips did we make to Southpark Mall?? We went shopping at Von Maur, Petite Sophisticate, and many stores in between, and somehow we always ended up going back to the very first store to purchase the first outfits we tried on. On one of those trips, you introduced me to Taco Bell. There I learned to like Mexican food! In Rock Falls we loved Behrens Flower Shed and had many trips for lunch and shopping there! Kathy, you are a sister of my heart. Jim and I will miss you very much, but we find comfort that you are in the palm of God’s hand. We will always treasure the precious memories you left us with. Kathy was nice to everyone, She always looked her best which was very hard to do with her lung problems. We have known she and Roger for nearly 40 years. We have enjoyed each others company at many events and in many places. After her health derailed her ability to be active, we kept her on the "next up" list always hoping to hear she wanted company. Kathy asked for little and she gave much. Our best memory is that there are so many characteristics, actions, and demonstrations of her love for family and friends, that we will miss her forever and remember her as one of the finest human beings we have ever met. Roger, I am sorry to hear about your great loss I remember hearing what a wonderful lady she was when I first moved here n that she couldn’t live out here because of her health and also I will never forget how determined you were to fix my lighting problems out front I know you are in pain, just remember everyone heals differently and take care of yourself. Jackie told me about Kathy's passing, Roger, and I am so sorry for the loss to you and your family. She was always a warm, caring, concerned and appreciative person and we go back a long way, 5th or 6th grade, I believe. I have very fond memories of Kathy, her sister and I singing many, many songs along the country roads on our long, long bus ride coming home from school.
