Obituary of Gloria L. Johnson

   Gloria L. Johnson, 90, of Byron, formerly of Sterling died Sunday April 28, 2024 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.  Gloria was born on February 9, 1934 in Dixon the daughter of Homer and Minerva (Fordham) Henson.  She married Harold Johnson on April 7, 1956 in Rock Falls. He preceded her in death on February 13, 1999.

   Survivors include one son Chuck (Mara) Johnson of Peyton CO; one daughter Kim (Scott) Marsh of Byron; three brothers Jack Henson of FL, Ronnie (Evelyn) Henson of Sterling, and Buck Henson of Sterling; one sister Sandi (Karl) Hall of Mokena IL; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

   Gloria was also preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; three brothers; one daughter Vicky (Dave) Hendrix; and one grand-daughter Dawn Graham.

   Funeral services will be 11AM Thursday May 2, 2024 at Harvest Time Bible Church in Rock Falls, with Dalmus Meeks, officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral, from 10AM-11AM at Church. Burial will take place following services at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, in Sterling. 

   A memorial has been established to Harvest Time Bible Church.
