I am sorry for the loss of your love one. Death is the most painful experience a family will ever have to endure. Even Jesus was pained and gave way to tears when he heard his friend Lazarus had died.-John 11:35. Mourning, outcry and pain, these are the things that robs us of our joy, which will soon end.-Revelation 21:3,4. But God so lovingly made arrangements to redeem us from the grip of death, by a resurrection.-Acts 24:15. God will grant Jesus Christ the power of the holy spirit to raise all those who have fallen asleep in death, restoring them back to life with the prospect of eternal life on the paradise earth.-John 5:28,29. Until this blessing is fulfilled, may you find peace and comfort in God’s love.-I John4:8.

I had the pleasure of attending Bernice's 100th birthday Open House on June 8th, 2013. My cousin Dean was also there. I have many good memories of Bernice, and I had a good talk with her on her actual birthday, June 1st. She and Jay were both in my Mother's class of 1931, (Violette Eckman Eshleman) and Bernice was also was my Dad's cousin. (Lyle Eshleman) I have many pleasant memories of visiting their farm, and over the years would have good phone conversations with her. She was still so sharp, I admired her so much. She will be missed.

Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you in the loss of your wonderful mother! She was such a blessing and inspiration to so many! You were blessed to have her with you for 100 years! I treasured her hand-written Christmas cards, even when she could barely see! Am sure God has a very special place in Heaven for her! Carolyn Grigereit

I'm sorry to hear of the loss of Bernice. When I visited my dad, Harold Eshleman, we would remember Bernice and the very early days when I would visit Earl and Mamye's farm and Bernice and Evelyn would be there. Bernice and her family was a part of my Sterling history and I am sure the passing of Bernice is such a loss to all of you. My Dad made it just short of 100 so good for Bernice. What a large and loving family Bernice was a part of. I passed the East Jordan Church when I came to Sterling to visit my Dad and Louise and sometimes stopped to visit the cemetary. The church and cemetary are such a quiet place and so memberable of early days. A peaceful place to live on.

We are sorry to hear of your loss. She was a very special lady to us. She always had such a sweet smile for everyone, a true Christian in every way. We are so glad we were able to come to her 100th birthday celebration. We are sorry we are unable to come to the funeral, because Jim is still recovering from his hernia operation. Please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers at this time.
