Obituary of Paul Bauer

PAUL WARD BAUER PROPHETSTOWN- Paul Ward Bauer, 97, died Monday, November 25, 2013 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Prophetstown. Paul was employed by Eastern Airlines in computer control and flight dispatching for over thirty years, prior to retirement in 1975. Paul was born August 30, 1916 in Harmon, to John N. and Lucy M. (Peters) Bauer. He attended Western Institute of Technology, Alhambra, CA. He served as a meteorologist stationed in India in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII. He was a member of Rock Falls American Legion. Survivors include one sister, Frances (Alvin) Johnson of Sterling and one brother, John Bauer of Davenport, IA and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Knelson and two brothers, Harold and Phillip Bauer Cremation rites have been accorded, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
