Obituary of Virginia Brall

ROCK FALLS- Virginia L. Brall, 83, of Rock Falls, died Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Good Samaritan, Prophetstown. Virginia was born on October 24, 1930, in Rock Island, to Roy M. and Mildered P. (Perkins) Smith. She married Charles Brall on April 12, 1947 in Cambridge, IL. Survivors include her husband, Charles; two sons, Charles Lee (Brenda) Brall, of Tampico, and Jerry Raymond (Karen) Brall, of Milledgeville; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Marjorie Kovicik, Maxine Collins, and Cora Dahl; one daughter, Joy Umbower; and one brother, William Smith. Memorial service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, July 12, 2014 and visitation from 1-2 PM at New Life in Christ Church, prior to services with Pastor Cherry, officiating. Burial at Rock Island Arsenal will be at a later date. A memorial has been established to Hospice of the Rock River Valley. Condolences may be sent to schillingfuneralhome.com.
