Obituary of Cecil Seeley

Cecil R. "Buzz" Seeley, 77, died, Thursday, July 3, 2014 at his home. He was employed at the former Northwestern Steel and Wire Company. Cecil was born September 19, 1936 in Sterling, the son of Cecil and Edna (Kraft) Seeley. He married Nancy J. Rotz on Sept 6, 1958 in Sterling. She preceded him in death on December 10, 2010. He served in the United States Navy from 1954 - 1957. Survivors include one daughter, Andra (Ron) Shaw of Sterling; two sons, Raymond "Scott" (Deana) Seeley and Jay (Samantha Petty) Seeley, both of Sterling; two sisters, Sandra (Jim) Arduini of Sterling and Jackie (Von) Blackburn of Rock Falls; two brothers, Donald (Tawanna) Seeley of Waterman and Jerry (Bonnie) Sternes of AZ, and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy and one sister, Donna Baker. Graveside services with full military rites, will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Monday at the Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling. A memorial has been established. Condolences may be sent to schillingfuneralhome.com.
