My deepest sympathies go out to the Keller family. I had the pleasure of being one of Mr. Keller's students at Newman High School and I couldn't have asked for a better teacher! He not only taught me pre-calculus and physics, but he more importantly taught me about life. The passion he had for teaching was unremarkable. There was always a twinkle in his eye during his stories and most of the lessons he taught me were accompanied by him playing his invisible ukelele, which always brought a smile to my face. His classes are one of the best memories I have from Newman and I will always cherish the lessons I learned from him.

I am very sorry to hear of Mr. Keller's passing and my deepest sympathies to Mrs. Keller and the rest of the Keller family. Mr. Keller was the best teacher I ever had and I am very grateful that he entered my life. After I graduated from Newman, Mr. Keller's care, guidance, and support continued to endure in impressive ways. I will never forget that Mr. and Mrs. Keller drove all the way to Sullivan Illinois to visit me while I was on vacation with my family. It was a great celebration to see both of you, know how much you care, and have you swap some legendary stories with my family. I am a much better person for knowing Mr. Keller and I know he has made a similar mark on so many other people that he encountered.

Stu Jr. and Family, So sorry to hear about Stu's passing, Stu was a great man, a dedicated teacher who had patience and cared greatly for his students. He taught me at Sauk and later he taught my daughter at Newman High School. I would not have the engineering career I have today without Stu's instruction and guidance in physics and math. My heartfelt sympathy to the Keller family. Mr. Keller, as I will always refer to him was my godsend at Sauk Valley Community College when I went through the Lab Tech program. He showed a tremendous amount of patience while helping me pass my class. He will always be remembered by all the students he helped.

Mr. Keller talked me into enrolling in his Engineering Physics class at SVCC. He emphasized the importance of treating electricity with respect, keeping one hand behind your back with every experiment in the lab.
Several years later he joined our faculty at NCCHS preparing our students for college with Calculus, Physics, Chemistry, and other math courses. He was such a generous, caring teacher. I frequently sought his advice and was always encouraged by him.
Mr.Keller was a tremendous asset to Newman.
