Obituary of Joseph Dravis

JOSEPH "JOE D" A. DRAVIS STERLING- Joseph "Joe D" A. Dravis, 61, of Sterling, died Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at his home. Joseph was born October 19, 1953 in Sterling, the son of Ronald "Bud" and Ruth (Besch Welker) Dravis. He married Alice Noblin on April 12, 1986. Joe was the manager and bartender for Angelo's II for over thirty years. He was also previously employed as bartender at the Top Hat Bar, Rock Falls, and worked at Hill Fastener, Rock Falls and the former Northwestern Steel and Wire Co. Survivors include his wife, Alice; his daughter Magdelyn S. Dravis of Sterling; his son, Ronald Eugene Dravis III, of Sterling; his granddaughter, Lilah A. Westpfahl; two sisters, Jean (Ray) Dawson of Polo and Debbie Wolf of Sterling; two brothers, Robert (Sally) Welker of Sheffield and George(Sherry) Welker of Sterling. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and brother, Ron. Funeral services will be held at 1PM Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Sterling. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Friday, at the funeral home. A memorial has been established. Condolences may be sent to schillingfuneralhome.com.
