Obituary of Kent McGonigle

ROCK FALLS- Kent McGonigle, 80, of Rock Falls, died Friday, October 31, 2014 at Select Specialty Hospital, Davenport, IA. He owned and operated Kent and Ray's Auto Body Repair. Kent was born April 29, 1934, in Walnut, the son of Cullen and Marie (Kent) McGonigle. He married Mary K. Hiltibidal on July 5, 1952, in Dixon. Survivors include his wife, Mary; three sisters; Rita Jean Emmert, of Peoria, Judy Emmert, of Denton, TX, Theresa (Terry) Willet, of Bridgeport, TX, and one half-sister, Rosetta McNulty, of California; and two brothers, Gary (Debbie) Emmert, of Bridgeport, TX, Gene (Paula) Emmert, of California and one grandson. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Wiederaenders in 1992, and one son, Kelly McGonigle in 2014. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 3, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Schilling Funeral Home in Sterling, with Reverend Jeff Coester, Pastor of the Big Red Church, officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 4 PM to 6 PM also at the funeral home. A memorial has been established.
