Oh Grandpa, I cannot even believe it has already been a week. Your service was beautiful and I look forward to visiting you this weekend. Oak Knoll is gorgeous and serene and that is exactly the type of resting place you deserve. I miss you every day a million times a day. I watched the video of Christmas where I interviewed you last night about 1000x. Hearing your voice and knowing I will always be able to makes me so happy I cannot even put it into words. I'm going to help Grandma clean the garage this weekend, I promise I won't let her throw away all your cool stuff =) I will give her a hug for you too just like Ben said he always will. Love you Grandpa. XOXO

Perry was the picture of class and conviction. For years he and his fellow worshipers would visit Pleasant View Home where my mother resided and she always loved to hear them sing their hymns. Later I would come to see Perry and Mary Lou during frequent noon lunches and Perry would always stop by our table and chat. His family should be very proud of their husband, father and grandfather. Earth has lost a good man but Heaven has gained another saint.

Mary Lou and family, I will miss Perry very much, his kind smile and uplifting spirit. I know he is truly with God and is in good hands. Mary Lou, as you comprehend this profound loss, let yourself cry knowing each tear is a note of love rising to the heavens. Sheila Duerst

Ben and Family, I am so sorry to hear about your Grandpa Perry. I remember him when he worked out at Jordan School. He always knew your name and had a smile waiting for you. Even the last time I saw him at Arthur's he seemed to be in good spirits, in effect saying "This is not going to get me down." He was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed. Know that all of you are in our prayers and may Perry's spirit and lessons live on forever. God Bless You, Jennifer Hunt (Freas)

I am so sorry to read of Perry's passing. In my years at Unit 5 I found Perry to be a gentleman's gentleman. He was a living tribute to the "Golden Rule". My sincere condolence.

To the family of Perry Maple especially Mary Lou, I'm sincerely sorry for your loss. Perry was a great friend to me, and my family. I met Perry when I was a little girl going to church at Como Baptist, and I will always remember him every time I eat a piece of butterscotch hard candy. He will be truly missed by me, and my family because he was such a great person that truly cared for others around him. The two of you( Perry and Mary Lou) truly made a huge impact on my life, and I thank you for that. With Sympathy, Sara Warren p.s. I'm so sorry that I had to miss the services.

We wanted to send our thoughts and prayers out to you and your family. My son Noah is in Mrs. Olson's first grade class. He missed her very much this week. We used to go to the First Baptist Church when Noah was a baby and met Mr. Maple. I even helped teach Vacation Bible School crafts with him one summer. I liked him very much. I'm sure he will be missed but welcomed with open arms in Heaven. Again our hearts and prayers are with you and your family. Sincerely, Lisa & Noah Mathews

Mary Lou and Family, Please know you are all in our hearts and prayers at this time. Perry's passing is a great loss to humanity. He was such a great friend to everyone who met him. We won't be able to attend visitation or services as we are out of state, but please know we will be there in our prayers. It was such a pleasure to visit with Perry whenever we would see him. It was especially nice that we got to visit for quite some time at our last class reunion in October. The classmates that were able to attend the last reunion will have great memories of his last class reunion with us. Until we meet again. Von & Jackie Blackburn
