Obituary of John Michels

JOHANN "JOHN" G. MICHELS OZARK, MO - Johann "John" G. Michels , 64, formerly of Sterling, died Friday, February 19, 2010 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, MO. John was born July 30, 1945 in Dixon, the son of Herman and Gesine (Bruns) Michels. He served in the Air Force. Survivors include three sisters, Wendy (Dean) Zimmerman, of Highland Ranch, CO, Arlene (James) Adams and Shirley (Keith) Conklen, both of Sterling; one brother, Herman (Lucille) Michels, of Moline; and numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mary Michels; one brother, Frederick Michels; one niece and three nephews. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 8, 2010 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Sterling with the Reverend Judith Huseth, pastor, officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 AM, prior to services at the church. Cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
