I wish to give my sincerest sympathies to the family of Karin. I knew her when we both attended Hopkins Junior High. I so clearly remember her smile and her spirit. She was a little girl with a great big presence! I will always remember her smile and her laugh.

Karin and I worked together when she worked for Sterling Commercial Roofing from 2002-2007. She was the sweetest gal that I have ever worked with. She was just a kind, even-tempered great gal. We tried to stay in touch after she went to work for the beauty school. We did a couple of lunches, etc. She loved her new job and friends. She loved Mark and her girls. She was so excited to become a grandmother. Karin will truly be missed. We will all remember her beautiful smile and her laugh. Memories are a wonderful thing. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless.

My deepest sympathy goes out to all of you. I have not seen Karin for many years. I worked with her at Waldo Stubbs in the early to mid 80's and went to High School with her. I found out about her death via facebook from a friend in Sterling. It is so sad that someone so young, with so much to offer has left far too soon. I am so sorry for your loss and will keep you all in my prayers. Carleen Eberhardt Port Orange, Florida

Even though I have been gone from Sterling for a long time, sad news travels far. I was shocked to hear of Karin's illness and passing. She was a great friend and I have lots of fun and silly memories of all the crazy things we used to do through our high school days. It's been years since I've seen or spoken to Karin but hearing of her once again brought a smile mixed with tears. To all of you, my sincerest sympathy for your loss. Karin - you will be missed by many.

Karin has always had this beautiful smile and a great laugh, you just had to smile when you heard her laugh. We hung out some during the Poison Apple Days,we loved dancing and having a good time with our friends. She would come into my Antique Store (Apron Strings Antiques)usually looking for something for her mom. The last time in she was with her mom.I saw her awhile back waiting for a Rx at Walgreens, she told me she had cancer, I was so sad for her and told her I would keep her in my prays. She will be so missed, I have no pictures to post, there only in my mind and now in my heart. I'm leaving for Texas later this month. Know that I will keep you all in my prays. Sincerly, Nancy (Fisher)Powers

Dear Sue and family, Words cannot express how very sorry I was to hear of Karin's illness and untimely death. I so vividly remember when she was born...Uncle Paul said " Karen we have another one...I will have to call her Pistol Junior." He was so proud of her and I was so excited to have a cousin who shared my name, even though you used the i instead of the e. I remember the first time I held her at you parents home. And today when I was at the funeral services for a dear friends father and they played "When I get where I'm goin" I had such a vivd picture of her walking hand in hand with her grandpa through a field and it made me smile to know that they are together. I am sorry that we can not be there but I wanted you to know that we are thinking of you and praying for you. Love , hugs and kisses Karen

Sue: I just received the news of the passing of your daughter. My deepest heartfelt sympathy to you and yours. The years have proven that it should not happen, a child leaving the world before both parents, but we all know it does. I am so sorry, but I know that Harvey is waiting, with open arms, to receive his child, a now grown young lady. Hold the good memories close to the heart and review them often. That will be one sustainable factor. If I do not make it to the funeral, know that you and yours are in my prayers and I will definitely be thinking of all of you. God's blessings to all. Deepest and sincerest sympathy Judi H.

Sue, Julie, Kay and Steve - my thoughts and prayers are with you and your families during this tragic loss. When I heard that she was ill, I got her number from Ben and Gina but then heard she had taken a turn for the worse and did not want to be a bother. Now I so wish I had taken a moment to pick up the phone and call her - if only to speak to her for a minute! Having known Karin all of our lives - since Galt School, having lived with her, worked with her, having her as a bridesmaid in my wedding, we shared many things together. Marty recently shared with me some pictures she had of the 3 of us living together in Karin's house on Buell Road. I can still hear Karin's laugh and see her smile as we all 3 fought for the bathroom to get ready to go out togther. Karin and I shared many things in our adult lives that will always have a special place in my heart. She was a spark in my life for many years too!
