Family of Mary Louise - I am the Regent of Rock River DAR. I am probably the only current active member who remembers your Mother as an active member. She and Anne Kontos attended meetings together and were usually hostesses Both were ladies I admired. Your Mother had the nicest smile and she was always smiling when I saw her. "Those we love remain in our hearts and in our memories for all time."

Jane, Kay and John, So sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I have so many good memories of both of your parents. Your mom always took time to talk with me and find out how I was doing. She was a wonderful person. So glad Marc and I were able to visit with her last year. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Leslie and Marc

My thoughts are with you, as losing a parent is surely one of the most diffficult times in our lives. I remember her as a vibrant, loving, involved Mom. I have been making her Tuna Salad Sandwiches (broiled until slightly toasted, of course) since she introduced me to them 50 years ago! I am in FL at present, and regret that I can't be there.

Kay and Jane, I was so sorry to learn of your mother's death. She was an outstanding woman: active, compassionate, and involved. She was also a wonderful supporter of the YWCA of the Sauk Valley. Her loss affects all of us, and we join you in your sadness. Carol Fitzgerald, Executive Director, YWCA of the Sauk Valley

So sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. I know you two were so very close. I remember how fun and active she was. The last time I saw her was when she "crashed" one of our class reunions. My best to the rest of the Gebhardt clan.
