Dear Fran:I am in Minneapolis helping my son who has just had surgery and will be unable to attend the service for Dick. I am so very saddened to hear of your loss. He was a very dear man and Wally and I really loved him - and you, too! He had a sweet gentle soul and a sweet nature. I used to see him in Kroger's on what I call "Old People's Day" and it was always a pleasure to see him and chat with him. I don't know how he got any shopping done.....he knew everyone it seemed and stopped to chat with all. I send you my sincere condolences. I know what you must be going through having just lost Wally and it is difficult but you have wonderful memories of a life with a good husband and I hope those will serve to sustain you at this difficult time. We go back a long way, Fran, and you are in my thoughts at this time. With deep sympathy,
