I was very sad to hear the news of Ms. Pilgrim. I was fortunate enough to have her for my music teacher while at Washington Elementary from 1987 to 1992. My love of music started with her. I even began my own collection of Nutcrackers. I think of her every year I unpack them for Christmas. My sincere condolences to her friends and family. She was a wonderful teacher.

Mrs. Pilgrim was such a great person. She was my accompanist for my first recital. I can remember being extremely nervous but Mrs. Pilgrim was so sweet and calm. I can remember her telling me that she was very proud of me and that all I should concentrate on was playing my music. Those words stuck with me throughout my musical career. Mrs. Pilgrim will be missed. Her and her family will be in my thoughts.
