Obituary of William Alfrejd

WILLIAM D. ALFREJD STERLING - William D. Alfrejd, 72, died Monday, April 4, 2011 at CGH Medical Center. He retired as a Plant Manager for Antec in 2002. William was born March 7, 1939 in Chicago, the son of Norman and Rosalie (Lipsey) Alfrejd. He served in the United States Marines. He married Karen Westnes on January 29, 1966 in Chicago. Survivors include his wife, Karen Alfrejd, of Sterling; one daughter, Jill (Chris Thibaudeau) Alfrejd, of Grayslake; one son, P.J. (April Recinos) Alfrejd, of Chicago; one brother, Thomas Alfrejd, of Texas and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Matthew Alfrejd. Memorial service will be held at 1PM, Saturday, April 9, 2011 at the Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling, with the Merle Heckman, officiating. Visitation will be from 12-1 PM, Saturday, at the Funeral Home, prior to services. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial has been established.
