Obituary of Alice Deets

Alice A. Deets Sterling - Alice A. Deets, 80, was called home Sunday, April 24, 2011 to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after a long illness. Alice was born October 7, 1930 in Elizabethtown, the daughter of Tracy and Iva (Jenkins) Love. She married Charles L. Deets on December 12, 1954 in Rock Falls. Alice was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ in Sterling. She was the loving mother of three sons, Kimmel Deets, of Rock Falls, Curtis Lee (Mary) Deets, of Sterling, and Eric (Ashley) Deets, of Sarasota, FL; two daughters, Sherri Bock, of Jacksonville, FL, and Connie Sue Deets, of Dixon. She is also survived by one sister, Nancy Hubbard, of Belvidere; seven grandchildren, Dawn, Nathan, Hannah, Eric, Brandon, Nathon and Mackinzie; and eight great-grandchildren, Luke, Odin, Payton, Vaden, Will, Ben, Anthony and Ashley. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Hal and Wayne Love; two grandsons, Jarod Bock and Benjamin Johnson; one brother-in-law, Clyde Hubbard; and one sister-in-law, Betty Love. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at the Church of Christ, Sterling with Merle Heckman, officiating. Burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery, Sterling.
