Obituary of Wayne Thielbar

Wayne Leroy Thielbar Sterling - Wayne Leroy Thielbar, 75, died Thursday, April 28, 2011 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was employed in the construction business for many years. Wayne was born December 17, 1935 in Clinton, IA, the son of D.Q. and Dorothea (Doty) Thielbar. He married Judith K. Goff on January 10, 1961 in Dixon. She preceded him in death on October 29, 2005. He then married Mary Emily Johnson on August 30, 2008. He was a member of Harvest Time Bible Church in Rock Falls. Survivors include his wife, Mary Emily; one daughter, Laurie (James) Alumbaugh, of Sterling; one sister, Dolly Brockman, of Coleta; eight grandchildren, Jessica (John) Rabadan, Daniel Hobbs, David Alumbaugh, Gregory (Rebecca) Hobbs, Sally (Mark) Braem, Jennifer (Josue) Camacho, Ashley Hobbs, and Kristin Alumbaugh; and ten great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Hobbs; son, Wayne L. Thielbar, Jr.; and two sisters, Jean Williams and Ruth Jewell. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Harvest Time Bible Church with Dalmus Meeks, officiating, with visitation from 10-11AM at Harvest Time Bible Church prior to the funeral. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Sterling. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM, Monday, May 2, 2011 at the Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling. A memorial has been established.
