LILLIAN A. FERGUSON
ROCK FALLS - Lillian A. Ferguson, 86, went to be with her Lord Thursday, April 28, 2011.
Lillian was born September 9, 1924 in Sterling, the daughter of Earl Raymond and Stella Claire (Kauffman) Fee. On November 8, 1942, she married Leonard Devers. He died in November, 1945 in Germany during World War II. She then married Wendell Z. Ferguson on September 24, 1949 in Sterling. He preceded her in death on November 14, 2002. Lillian was a member of First Christian Church of Rock Falls where she belonged to the Ruth Circle and the Christian Women's Fellowship. Lillian was a former Girl Scout Leader and active in Cub Scouts. She was also a member VFW Auxiliary.
Lillian was blessed with four children, two daughters, Wendy Bley, of Rock Falls, and Paula Ferguson, of Aurora, and two sons, David (Marlene) Devers, of Sterling, and Mark Ferguson, of Peoria. She is also survived by three sisters, June Diehl, of Milledgeville, and Lois Jacobs and Connie Anderson, both of Rock Falls; two brothers, Ronald Fee, of Rock Falls, and Tom (Barbara) Fee, of Halsney, OR; seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; and best friend, Norma Lester, of Owensboro, KY.
She was also preceded in death by two grandsons, Brian Devers and Christopher Bley; two sisters, Wilma and Nina Fee; one brother, Jim Fee; step-mother, Jessie Fee; step-father, Hal "Red" Spencer; and sister-in-law, Letty Fee.
Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, May 2, 2011 at First Christian Church of Rock Falls with Reverend Richard Morris, officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Knoll Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-4 PM, Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling.
A memorial has been established to the First Christian Church of Rock Falls.
