Obituary of Charles Leinbach

Charles Phillip Leinbach Sterling - Charles Phillip Leinbach, 73, of Sterling, died Friday, March 2, 2012 at Kindred Hospital in Sycamore. He was an Administrator for the Public School System for many years. Charles was born October 2, 1938 in Burlington, IA, the son of Lowell and Evelyn (Swanson) Leinbach. He married Marguerite (Hinds) Leinbach on March 8, 1980 in Sterling. She preceded him in death on May 24, 2002. Charles was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Lynn Leinbach, of Byron; one step-daughter, Sue Paschen; one son, Michael P. (Jill) Sullivan, of Belvidere; one step-son, Steve (Mary) Paschen; one sister, Janice (Tom) Ford, of Stronghurst; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Lonnie Leinbach,and one brother in infancy, Marvin Leinbach. Services will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Schilling Funeral Home with Reverend Nancy Weingartner of Wesley United Methodist Church, officiating. A memorial has been established to the American Diabetes Foundation.
