Obituary of Peggy Sue Larson

STERLING- Peggy Sue Larson, 51, of Sterling, died Thursday, March 5, 2015. Peggy was born on July 15, 1963, in Sterling, the daughter of Chancy “Sonny” and Shirley (Slifer) Morris. She married Michael Larson on March 29, 1983, in Morrison. Peggy loved her husband, children and grandchildren dearly. She enjoyed bowling, the Cubs, playing with and watching her grandchildren play sports and participating in dance competitions. She loved the Holidays, camping with family, and metal detecting. She was a big kid at heart, who still believed in Santa Claus. She loved working her popcorn wagon with her grandchildren, who were her life. She was truly the greatest wife, mother, and grandmother “nana.” Survivors include her husband, Michael, of Sterling; her father, Chancy “Sonny” Morris; three daughters, Angie (Kevin) Ebbens, Stephanie (Zachary Jensen) Larson, and Marissa Larson, all of Sterling; sisters, Pamela (Richard) Hedstrom, of Rock Falls, and DeAnna (Philip) Croy, of Sterling; brother-in-laws, Robert (Shelley) Larson, of Belvidere, Terry (Lori) Crow, of Deer Grove, and Rick (Vicki) Larson, of Sterling; grandchildren, Brookelynn, Logan, Kaydence, Riley, and Mariah; and several nieces, nephews, and many other close family members. She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Morris. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 11 AM at Schilling Funeral Home in Sterling, with Chaplain Don Johnston officiating. Dinner will be served at the Rock Falls Eagles club immediately following the funeral. Visitation will be Monday, March 9, 2015 from 5 PM to 8 PM at the funeral home.
