Obituary of George Steltzer

SABULA, IA- George Jr. Steltzer, 84, of Sabula, IA, died Saturday, April 18, 2015 in Orlando, FL. George had a 45 year career as a heavy duty equipment operating engineer. George was born on March 30, 1931, in Sterling, the son of George and Lucille (Pierce) Steltzer. He married Virginia Chrystine Helsley, on September 25,1954 in Rock Falls. Survivors include step-daughters, Sheila (Harold) Martin, of Jacksonville, FL, and Sherry Schwab, of Oak Brook, IL; step-son, Ronald (Marella) Dooley, of Ft Lauderdale; and sister, Joanne Sutton, of Rock Falls. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia; parents; sister, Gene Tretteen and a grandchild, Ronnie . Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 11 AM at Schilling Funeral Home, in Sterling. Visitation will be held one hour prior from 10 to 11 AM.
