ROCK FALLS – Mrs. Carol Ann Gowan, 75, died Friday, June 5, 2015 at her home.
Carol Ann Gowan was born July 7, 1939 in Oskaloosa, IA, the daughter of Howard and Florence Scott Bell. She married Ronald Eugene Gowan on April 11, 1959 in Oskaloosa, IA and he survives. Carol was owner and operator of Carol’s Corner Café.
Mrs. Gowan is survived by her husband; two sons, Ronald Edward Gowan of Rock Falls and Thomas (Connie) Gowan of Davenport, IA; one brother, Steve (Joyce) Bell of Muncie, IN; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Rexroth; one grandson; and one daughter-in-law, Janice Gowan.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Schilling Funeral Home in Sterling with Pastor Roger Carlson of Breann Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM at Schilling Funeral Home.
