Obituary of Richard E, Fisher

Richard Fisher, 81, died Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Sterling Pavilion.
He was employed by Illinois Forge as an inspector, prior to retirement.
Richard was born November 2, 1933 in Benton, the son of Ben and Cora (Wiggins) Fisher. He married Nellie Bethel, on June 1, 1957 in Akin.
Richard was a Bivocational Baptist Minister, he was Interim Pastor at most Southern Baptist Churches in Northwest Illinois, and member at First Baptist Church, Como. Richard was active in his ministry until his final days. He enjoyed reading, scripture reading, fishing, classic cars, and running around in his electric wheelchair.
Survivors include his wife Nellie of Rock Falls, four sons, Dave (Michal) and Tim (Jeannie), both of Rock Falls, Mark (Sheila) of Morrison and Steve (Monica) of Sterling; two sisters, Phyllis Harris of Pikeville, KY and Alice Shanks of Benton; one brother, Roland Fisher of Christopher; nine grandchildren, Joshua (Hannah), Travis (Sarah) Tiffani (Kamryn), Brittany, Emily, Hannah, Laura, Sarah and Kendrick; three great-grandchildren, River Lynn, Galen and one on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Curtis Fisher.
A memorial has been established.
