Our deepest sympathy is with you all. I simply cannot tell you how much I enjoyed sitting on her patio or kitchen table and talking with LaVonne; she was one of the most wonderful and caring ladies I have ever known. I’ll never have a Christmas season in my life without thinking of her working away in her kitchen on those cookies, candies and breads or a spring and summer seeing her working with her garden and flowers; she just had this magic touch with them. She always had such joy in her eyes and was an inspiration to me seeing the zest she had in life and in everything she did. It will not be the same without our sweet neighbor to visit and talk with but her memory will live our hearts forever.

We have been friends since 1978. I walked into the Job Service office my first day on the job, April 17, 1978, and there was an immediate connection. We have had a lot of fun....too much, sometimes, and a lot of strife, but, we have lasted through it all. I will never forget you and I will always love you. Until we meet again.
