Our prayers go out to Bob and Doug. This family were the best neighbors anyone could ever ask for for over 20 years. We've lived in Florida for 22 years and there are no neighbors like them. We have soooooo many memories of Arlene and her many antics. She stole the meat off the grill many times, crept through the back door so she could go out the front door of our house and unplug the clippers while Gene was using them. My dad just looked at her like okay, it's Arlene. She was so delighted when he stood there looking at the clippers, like "what happened", but he usually looked for Arlene pretty quickly. Then, the day she came over and told Yvonne. Keep an eye on me, I'm going up on the roof to paint the chimney. Make sure I don't fall off. Yvonne called me at work and was crying and said "Mom, Arlene just fell off the roof, what do I do?" We enjoyed so many fish frys at their house and wild game meals and she made everything fun. We went in and out of each others houses like we both lived there just to sit at the kitchen table and talk. God, I miss those times. She didn't have a mean bone in her body, but she was always up for anything and was the best listener ever. She used to tell Doug not to tease me so much or I wouldn't come back, but she knew I would. LOVE YOU ARLENE! ! !
