Obituary of Sally Stewart

SALLY M. STEWART RACINE, WI - Sally M. Stewart, 81, formerly of Sterling, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2012 in Racine, Wisconsin. Sally was born August 18, 1930 in Sterling, the daughter of Frank R. and Eleanor (Hartshorn) Casey. She married Earl F. Stewart on April 27, 1950 and resided in Mt. Carroll and Sterling. He preceded her in death on May 13, 1990. You could always find Sally working in her garden, canning her tomatoes or getting her harvest ready for the freezer. At Christmas time, Sally delighted in decorating her house and front yard and baking the finest cookies and fudge. Survivors include two daughters, Susan (David Eppers) McClure, of Racine, WI, and Sherry Stewart-Lynaugh, of Los Angeles, CA; four grandchildren, Katerine Fries, of Hiawatha, IA, Emily (Russ) Stutt, of Newton, IA, Shannon Lynaugh, of Los Angeles, CA, and Ryan Stewart-Lynaugh, of Racine, WI; and one great-granddaughter, Isabella Stewart-Lynaugh. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Eleanor and Frank R. Casey; step-father, Charles Tuttle; and brother, Frank W. Casey. Services will be held at 1 PM, Friday, June 8, 2012 at Schilling Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Oehlert, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery, Sterling. Visitation will be from 11 AM-1 PM, Friday, prior to services, at the Funeral Home.
