Lowell was a great friend to my father in law Bob {Santa Claus} Zigler. Bob worked at the hardware store many years and after his stroke Lowell would drive over to Prophetstown to visit him regularly and repeatedly told him when he was able his job was waiting for him, he also took him to breakfast with the guys in Sterling. So sorry for the loss of a good friend

We are so sorry for your loss. I wish I could have been there for the service. Lowell was a great friend and neighbor and has always been kind to our family. I'll miss his smiling face as he use to marched up my mom's driveway to sit down and fill me in on how the Grummert family was doing. Lowell was blessed with an amazing family. Keep smiling, I'm sure Lowell would want it that way.

I wanted to send out my prayers and condolences to the Grummert, Reynolds, Scanlon, and King families. Lowell was a very special man and I enjoyed the time I spent with him. I always loved hearing his stories and I always left with a smile on my face after talking to him. I know how important he was to you guys and your families and I am truly sorry he is gone. They broke the mold when he was born like many other great men we have known. You guys our in my thoughts and prayers. Take care.

Kelly and Grummert family, we're so sad to hear this news. Your dad's store was always one of Scott's favorite Sterling stores. Not only did your dad always have exactly what Scott was looking for, but they always enjoyed visiting. There was no such thing as a "quick" trip to Grummert's. Condolences to all. Take care.
