So sorry to read of Mrs. Peterson's passing. She was my Jr. High teacher and my neighbor on Long Ct. in Sterling. Loved her larger than life personality and her passion for teaching. Such great memories.

So very sad to hear this. Mrs. Peterson was my teacher in Jr. High and I loved her. She was a great teacher and very passionate about it. She helped me so very much to understand language rules. She was very caring about all the students and their feelings. She told great stories and introduced me to the classics which I now love. She even gave me books to read and we would discuss them. She encouraged me to write and she is one of the reasons I became a teacher. She was an amazing woman. God be with the family and friends.

My deepest sympathies go out to the family of Mrs. Peterson, she was my 2nd grade teacher at Wallace School and I will never forget her for ao many reasons. I remember she always had the coolest projects for us to do. She had me reading a story in front of a few different classes because she liked my expression! I remember she had a very sharp pen! She was a wonderful woman, and will be missed by many. She enriched my life and I am so happy I had the opportunity to be taught by her.

What a phenomenal teacher!!! I was blessed to have her as a teacher at Challand Junior High around the 1982-1983 time frame. She new how to make learning fun, if I were to describe her words like: passionate, funny, caring, light-hearted, excited, you get the idea.....a fabulous lady!

I didn't get the privilege of having her as a full time teacher but as a substitute. Was always one of my favorites. Always had a sense of humor and made sure we learned what the teacher wanted us to while they were gone.
