Obituary of Lester Wagner

LESTER WAGNER STERLING- Lester Wagner, 88, died, Sunday, June 24, 2012 at OSF St. Francis Hospital, Peoria. He was employed at the former Northwestern Steel and Wire Company, prior to retirement. Lester was born October 26, 1923 in Coleta, the son of Edward and Pearl (Steinmeyer) Wagner. He married Irene Wagner on March 11, 1944 in Morrison. Survivors include his wife, Irene; one daughter, Carol Inman of Sterling; two son, Ed Wagner of Sterling and Bob (Carla) Wagner of Rock Falls; two sisters, Virginia Hinrichs of Tucson, AZ and Helen Young of Sterling; four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Paul Wagner. Services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling with Dalmus Meeks, pastor of Harvest Time Bible Church, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. Visitation will be held from 9-11 AM, prior to services at the funeral home. A memorial has been established.
