To Sammy's family, I am so very sorry to hear of Sammy's passing. I worked with Sam at LSSI. Pam Knight and I interviewed Sam for the cade aid job and something about Sam impressed us and we offered him the Job. Immediately after we thought, "what have we done!" We hired a retired steel worker who had no experience for this job! We soon knew he was perfect for this job. Everyone liked Sam. He was great with the foster kids, he showed respect to the bio parents, and got along well with the foster parents. I coulid aways count on Sam for anything! He had a good sense of humor, almost always had a smile. Sammy made a difference and I am blessed to have known him.

Cheryl and Family
Words cannot Express how much I Loved Sammy! I worked with Sammy at LSSI when he was a case aide and transported foster children to family visits. Sammy would sing songs to the kids and teach them how to count during those trips. He would hug them, wipe away tears and make the children feel loved during a difficult time. He was always respectful to their parents and believed in treating everyone with kindness. He was thoughtful to staff during birthdays and holidays giving small tokens of appreciation. He would decorate my door for my birthday with toilet paper and we shared alot of laughs. One of the nicest guys I've had the pleasure of working with and known. Cheryl and Sammy I'll never forget going to the Quad Cities to shop, eat a Fabulous dinner and enjoy the Christmas lights together. It's been along time since I've seen you both. My heart hurts hearing that my buddy has left this earthly home but know the heavens have another angel with them. Love and prayers to the whole family. Sammy I am blessed to have known you and will never forget our friendship. God bless you!! You will be missed. Love you♡♡ Mary
