I was a friend of Sheryl when she worked at KSB Hospital in Dixon, Il. Shari which we called her at KSB Hospital graduated from the x-ray program the year before me at Sauk Valley College.Shari was truly a good worker and true friend during those years and a joy to work with on daily basis. We worked along side for many years before she took another position as a teacher at Sauk Valley and later CGH Hospital. Shari was such a good friend then and we had so many laughs and good times together.
What I remember about Shari the most was the love she felt for her family, I remember she lost her own mother early in life so she knew how hard it was to lose someone you love. Because of this she loved her family so much and I remember her talking about how she loved her sisters, brothers and Father. I believed her Father remarried and she loved having a step mother as well. We all heard all the stories of the funny antics of Roderick and Jeremy. How they were typical boys and how that kept her going each and everyday. She would complain about all the rough housing they would do but laughing the whole time she was telling the story. When she lost Randy I know that was really hard for her to accept another loss
and I lost track of her as she was working nights at CGH.
Another thing I remember too how was how hard it was when she lost Randy and after reading the obituary I was sadden to read that Shari had another blow by losing Roderick. That must of been so hard as I will never forget how she loved her children, husband and family.
So please accept my sincere sympathy to the family and know that I loved your mom. Even though our lives didn't pass in the later years of life I will never forget what friends we were at KSB.
