I just wrote a letter to Char August 8th, and it was retturned to me in today's mail. When I Googled her name I saw that she had passed away a couple weeks before I wrote to her. John and Charlotte played a huge part in my summers at Crystal Lake Campground. They saw my love for horses and let me help with the horses and lead trail rides in 1973 - 74. I will never forget the kindness they showed to me, taking me under their wing and teaching me about horses and letting me ride on the fender of the tractor with "Big John" on the hayrides. I have so many happy memories of them, they are too numerous to mention them all. My parents and I were so blessed to know them both. They were so kind, wonderful people. I loved them both dearly, and always will. I will never ever forget the kindness and love they showed to me. I believe they are together again, and on the triails and reunited eternally. Should any family members find photos or memorabilia of JC Stables at Crystal Lake, I will be happy to pay you for postage and any copies made. Only a few photos of the stables survived all these years.
