Obituary of Ada Behrens

STERLING- Ada Behrens, 89, died Saturday July 4, 2009 at Sterling Pavilion. Ada was born November 4, 1919 in Sterling the daughter of Diedrich and Gesine Meiners Reins. She married Walter Behrens on March 15, 1939 in Clinton, IA. He preceded her in death on March 6, 1988. Mrs. Behrens was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Sterling. Surviving are one son; Gene (Rosalie) Behrens of Milledgeville, two daughters; Janice (Richard) Maher of Woodhull and Joanne (Robert) Kirby of Columbus, IN, seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three sisters; Anna Lauts, Helen Hadaway and Edna Frankfother. Funeral services will be 10:30 Wednesday July 8, 2009 at Our Savior Lutheran Church with Reverend Donald Matthiessen pastor officiating. Burial will be at Our Savior Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday July 7, 2009 at Schilling Funeral Home.
