Obituary of Robert Woessner

ROBERT "BOB" J. WOESSNER STERLING - Robert "Bob" J. Woessner, 53, died Sunday, November 29, 2009 at University of Wisconsin Hospital after a short illness. He was a State Farm Insurance Agent in Sterling for 17 years. Bob was born October 9, 1956 in Freeport, the son of William and Lois (Hummermeier) Woessner. He married Julie Wasmund on June 11, 1988 in Coleta. He was a member of the Coleta United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Julie of Sterling; two sons, Brock and Zachary Woessner at home; step-father, Richard Dambman of Milledgeville; father and mother in-law, Bob (Claudia) Wasmund, of Coleta; two brothers, David (Valerie Newman) Woessner of Trumbull, CT, and Curt (Shelly) Dambman of Milledgeville; one sister-in-law, Joanie (Kenyon) Whipple of Rock Falls; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one niece, Jenna Whipple. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Coleta United Methodist Church with Pastor David Jungnickel officiating. Burial will be at Brethren Cemetery in Shannon. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM, Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Schilling Funeral Home in Sterling. A memorial has been established.
