Did not know Don personally, but remember him well from pickup games of basketball in Sterling. He had a classic underhand shot that was on target from just about anywhere, with a load of spin on it through the air. Our sympathy on his passing.

Steve, our hearts go out to you and your family during this difficult time. You do know your dad is farming in heaven as I write this, and watching over your house. He sounds like he lived a great life and was an even better grandpa and father. Take care and God Bless and know you all are in our prayers.

Please accept my condolences on the passing of Don. It was my pleasure to know him for many years as buyer 101 at the sale barn in Elizabeth. He was always a friendly face.

Goodbye Great Grandpa
We miss you so dear,
But now you'll be with Grandma,
For thousands of years.
You may not be young,
For we know you were old,
But none of us will forget,
The stories you have told.
You've made us laugh,
And with tears in our eyes,
We lay you to rest,
And let the harmony survive.

To the Ebersole family, Don was my first cousin. You have our sympathy. We remember his great memory of places where people lived along Freeport road. We like his picture of him with the basketball. He had my mother's "Lydia Long" household sale. We also lost our son, David, from cancer on July 5th.
